What the science says about bioidentical progesterone
There is a large amount of high quality scientific research showing that bioidentical progesterone can relieve menopause symptoms and promote general health in women. It has also been shown to be safer than the synthetic progestins used in common HRT treatments.

A dose of Wellsprings 20-1 cream should be applied morning and bedtime to thin tissue areas of the body. It is important to massage the cream into a different area each time.
Each recommended dose of cream is 1/8th of a teaspoon (0.5ml). This amount is the size of a garden pea.
We recommend using a double dosage (2 pea-sized amounts of cream, twice a day) for the first month of application. Also, please ensure you finish the full jar or pump bottle of your cream to allow time for your hormone levels to stabilise and symptoms to be properly treated.
Whether you choose our 60ml jar or 100ml pump bottle, the dosage is exactly the same. To dispense a pea-sized amount from the pump bottle, gently press the pump until the correct amount is dispensed.*

Usage Overview
A healthy woman will naturally manufacture 20-25mg of progesterone per day in the second half of her monthly cycle and the intention is to deliver this same amount of bioidentical progesterone into the system via the cream.
Each dose of 20-1 contains 12mg of bioidentical progesterone, so one application in the morning and one at bedtime will constitute a dosage of 24mg per day, delivering approximately the same as would be produced naturally.
If symptoms are severe you may use a double dose mornings and evenings. However, dosage should be assessed and modified by each individual through their own experience over a period of time.
Each 60ml jar contains around 120 pea-sized doses, so a jar will last around 4 months for those on the pre-menopausal regime and around 10 weeks for those on the 24 day menopausal regime.
Our 100ml pump bottle contains around 200 pea-sized doses, so a bottle will last around 7 months for those on the pre-menopausal regime and around 4 months for those on the 24 day menopausal regime.*

Applying Cream
20-1 should be applied to thin tissue areas of the body, rotating between different areas each day.

How to measure a single dose
Simply dab the underside of your little finger halfway to the nail if using a jar, or gently press the pump if using our pump bottle. The amount should be about the size of a garden pea.

Wellsprings 20-1 is the same formula as Wellsprings Serenity with the addition of two natural oestrogen hormones, Estriol 0.11%, Estradiol 0.01%. The natural progesterone content remains at 2.34%.
Generally you need to use only one product. However, some women find that they need a very small amount of oestrogen so they use Serenity once daily and 20-1 once daily, instead of using the same cream twice daily. Both creams have the same progesterone content, but 20-1 has the addition of two natural oestrogens. *

If you're using these just to help with heavy bleeding then simultaneous use with your cream is fine. However, if you're using them for contraception, then no we CANNOT recommend it, unless you also take additional precautions.
